Glaance will work out of the box, with a standard admin and client log-in. To add custom log-ins for you and your clients, for branding and for other customization you will need to edit the source code of the Glaance index.php.
Note: Integrated easy-to-use settings are planned for the future but, for now, you will need to do it this way.
Open the index.php in any source code editor, e.g. the free CodeLobster, NetBeans or Notepad++. Do not use a word processor like MS Word or Google Docs.
The first part of index.php contains mainly comments, followed by a section with many variables. This is where you can customize Glaance to your needs. Even for non-programmers customization should be pretty straight forward. The source code editor will color the code, helping you to differentiate between variables, their values and comments.
In the index.php scroll down to the section that looks like this:
//========== USER & GROUP ACCOUNTS ======================================== $users[] = [ "username" => "admin", "password" => "*abcde", "realname" => "", "role" => "admin" ]; $users[] = [ "username" => "review", "password" => "12345!", "realname" => "", "role" => "reviewer" ];
Here you can modify the existing users (orange values above), define as many additional users or user groups as you like or remove all users. If you remove all users there will be no password protection and every visitor can leave reviews.
If you leave the real name of a user empty you have created a user group. This is helpful if you don't know which people of your client's team will review your edit. All team members of your client will then be using the same username and password. After logging in, Glaance will ask such a user to state his/her full name.
This also accounts for admin accounts (you). If you wish to add individual log-ins simply add a value to "realname", which should normally be the first and last name of the user.
In the comments section above these log-in settings you will find more information about the user roles.
